Sitti Social Enterprise: 2021-2022 Impact Report

BACKGROUND

Sitti is a conscious lifestyle brand committed to the self-reliance of refugee and displaced communities through long-term employment opportunities and skill development training, empowered by an inclusive global economy. Sitti management is in Canada, the U.S and Jordan, and most of artisans live in Jordan, in the Jerash Refugee camp, the poorest one in the area.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS, SDGs

 

Sitti supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

 

 

                SDG 1:   End poverty in all its forms;

                SDG 5:   Achieve gender equality and empower all women and girls;

 

                SDG 8:   Promote sustained, inclusive and sustainable economic growth,

                              full and productive employment and decent work for all;

 

                SDG 10: Reduced inequalities within and among countries.

 

 

 

CHALLENGE

The challenge was to design a 2-year Impact Report that is more accessible and that shows the brand's impact in relation with the UN SDGs goals.

PROCESS

By working directly with the Sitti Chief Impact Officer Jacqueline Sofia, responsible for the copy and document edition, while I was responsible for the overall design, image manipulation and webpage creation with shearable and interactive PDF file.

RESULTS

The 2021 - 2022 Impact Report was the first time that the brand decided to showcase their impact in a 2-year range report. It was a very interesting process, focused on the creation of information graphics, partnerships storytelling and successful campaign launches.

The design aimed for a softer look & feel with the use of rounded corners to divide areas and solid background colors with the use of the green, saffron and sand brand tones. All the report alignment to the left created consistency and a more traditional look to the pages, and the use of the Sitti's typeface Averia gives a natural look with an organic atmosphere, valuable concepts for this organization as their products are natural and handmade with traditional techniques.
