Informative graphics for Mothers Matter Canada
BACKGROUND
Mothers Matter Canada is a non-profit organization based in Vancouver, BC, since 2001. They are a virtual, national consortium of organizations dedicated to serving socially isolated and low economic status mothers and their families in Canada. Their impact span over 60,000 lives with new skills and abilities to strengthening mother-child relationships. Their programs are designed to break the inter-generational cycle of poverty, low literacy, and social isolation.
Project duration:
2 months
My role:
Sole designer of 8 informative graphics from conception to final delivery.
PROCESS
The infographics content was developed by Kindred Purpose Consultants, specifically the CEO Doaa Hussein and its research associate Misha Sethi, and I created the infographics design based on their process and feedback, as well as client reviews.
We created a front page as a checklist, and 8 double-faced infographics for different themes like:
1 - Education and Childcare,
2 - Healthcare,
3 - Housing,
4 - Employment and Skills Development,
5 - Financial Literacy,
6 - Rights and Freedoms,
7 - Get to Know Your Community, and
8 - Indigenous Peoples and Reconciliation.
RESULTS
The designed infographics were very well received by the client and involved community. Based on the brand guidelines color palette, fonts and imagery, we were able to create these clean and engaging resources to assist isolated mothers on different topics.
