Sitti Social Enterprise: 2020 Impact Report

BACKGROUND

Sitti is a conscious lifestyle brand committed to the self-reliance of refugee and displaced communities through long-term employment opportunities and skill development training, empowered by an inclusive global economy. Sitti management is in Canada, the U.S and Jordan, and most of artisans live in Jordan, in the Jerash Refugee camp, the poorest one in the area.

 

CHALLENGE

I created their first Impact Report in 2020 during COVID-19 restrictions and lockdowns. With the help of the Chief Impact Officer, Jacqueline Sofia for copy and edition, we were able to apply the freshly created Sitti brand guidelines. The Brand Bible was designed by the Chalhoub Group (Arabic مجموعة شلهوب), a privately held luxury goods retailer and distributor, headquartered in Dubai, UAE, as a result of a pitch competition 1st place prize that Sitti obtained in 2019.

PROCESS

I was able to participate on all stages of the incubator process and learned first-hand the process of brand development with this highly specialized marketing agency.

RESULTS

The 2020 Impact Report was the first time a designer used their Brand Bible to create a marketing document to showcase the brands impact on their refugee camp community in Jordan.
